Last week, I was honoured to participate in Threads of Legacy, a collective art exhibition held at Zibi in Gatineau, Quebec which took place on October 2-3, 2025.

Threads of Legacy featured an inspiring lineup of visual artists, designers, and creators:
Francesca Désulmé (Koukatelier), Andy Akangah, Obasola Bamigbola, Farrah Muhoza (Nshinge Design), Helena Granger, Bazan Togola, Julien Kandolo (Kando), Ange-Carmelle, Ismène Nelie.
The show, titled Ananse Ntonan:Threads of Legacy, brought together Canadian artists and creatives exploring themes of heritage, memory, and cultural identity through visual art, storytelling, and performance.
Over two days, the exhibition featured original paintings, mixed-media artworks, poetry, and music, all celebrating the legacies that shape who we are.

It was inspiring to connect with other visual artists, sharing the space with curators and showcasing how we use art as a language of remembrance and transformation.

Five of my original paintings were selected for this collective art show. They reflect my ongoing exploration of identity, belonging, and standing firm in our own beliefs.
